I deftly handle all phases of production from development of initial concept through to course structuring, curriculum development, scripting, talent coaching and direction, supervision of editing, project management, and writing web copy and learning resources.

Selected Projects: Mental health and wellbeing

Healing for Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents by Lindsay Gibson, PsyD: For Dr. Gibson’s first online self-help course, the mission was to build upon the success of her New York Times bestselling book to bring her audience a fresh take on the topic and practical ways to apply their knowledge.

Let Your Body Hold You by Arielle Schwartz, PhD: Helping trauma survivors to heal, this course blends lecture-style videos with guided demonstrations of yoga and breathing exercises, self-massage, and mindfulness meditation.

Taking Charge of Borderline Personality Disorder by Daniel J. Fox, PhD: Dr. Fox is well known in the BPD community for his long-running YouTube advice channel. I helped Dr. Fox transform the approach he uses there, creating a structured 6-week curriculum that gives people with BPD the tools to get their lives back on track.

She is able to absorb vast amounts of information, distill it into digestible segments and relevant points – and then to craft the ideal delivery of that information, whether in written or video format.
— Kenneth C. Merrill, Kindred Content

Selected Projects: Professional Continuing Education

ACT Immersion by Steven C. Hayes, PhD: It was an honor to help one of the most cited psychologists in the world create a comprehensive online training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a widely used treatment model that grew out of his early research.

ACT for Anxiety by MIchael P. Twohig, PhD: Unlocking the power of storytelling took Dr. Twohig’s lifetime of academic research beyond university lecture halls and brought it to a much broader audience of practicing therapists.

ACT Basics by Matt Boone, LCSW: This course succeeded in making complex behavioral science accessible to people of all educational backgrounds while making the online audience feel as though they were taking part in a live workshop.

Until 8 years ago, I was a freelance ghostwriter and editor, shaping commercially successful books for Random House and HarperCollins.

Then I was approached by Course Concierge to develop online courses by artists, craftsmen, business pioneers, and elite athletes whose legions of fans were eager to learn from the best.

Paul Davids – Guitarist and music producer with more than 3.5 million YouTube subscribers

Scott and Nate Wadsworth – Creators of the Essential Craftsman YouTube channel, with more than 120 million views

Magnus Midtbø – Creator of YouTube’s largest rock climbing channel with 475 million views

We needed someone who simultaneously had a level of authority with clients (to take them by the hand, and guide them through an editorial process) AND the deftness of touch to ensure a wonderful experience. Not an easy balance – and blending these two ingredients is one of Vanessa’s superpowers.
— Edward M. Druce, Course Concierge
